How does it work?




Our mission

Borro connects phone numbers to packaging and reminds people to return them.

Step 1


Order take-out online or instore at any of the Borro restaurants and mark returnable tableware.

Step 2


The restaurant will charge a deposit fee of 3 EUR for every returnable bowl.

Step 3

Enjoy your meal

You receive your meal in Borro packaging.

Step 4


Scan the QR code and return the Borro tableware at any of the participating restaurants or drop-off points. The first time we’ll ask your bank details so the deposit can be wired to your account.

Step 5


When the restaurants scans the returned packaging as well, the deposit will be released to your bank account.
